What to watch on BLAZE in April 2024

WHAT TO WATCH - APRIL 2024 - Professor Alice Roberts standing in front of a volcano aggressively erupting

BLAZE is the free-to-air entertainment channel that celebrates real people and their real stories. From the mystery solvers and treasure hunters to the hard grafters and deal makers, BLAZE raises the flag for people who boldly follow their own path.

Here are sone of the brand-new shows that will be airing on BLAZE throughout April 2024.

Greatest Heists With Pierce Brosnan

Hosted by Pierce Brosnan, each episode of Greatest Heists With Pierce Brosnan explores some of the most elaborate real-life heists in history to reveal the meticulous planning, daring execution and shocking aftermath.

Included are the Baker Street Robbery, the Lufthansa Heist of New York, the half-billion-dollar Gardner Museum art theft and the Antwerp Belgium Diamond Heist, among other big-time criminal exploits.

Greatest Heists With Pierce Brosnan will air Tuesdays from 2nd April at 9pm on BLAZE.

Weird Britain

With host Andy McGrath, Weird Britain celebrates all the things wild, weird and wonderful about our enigmatic island. Each episode visits a different region of Great Britain and explores the history, myths, traditions and legends associated with it.

From mermaids to haunted houses, Stonehenge to the Beast of Exmoor, there is no limit or shortage of what makes Britain weird. Highlights include searches for Excalibur and Bigfoot, encounters with Black Shuck and Hobbits, and the most technologically advanced search for the Loch Ness Monster in over half a century.

Weird Britain will air Wednesdays from 3rd April at 10pm on BLAZE.

Curse of the Ancients

In Curse of the Ancients, Professor Alice Roberts reveals how scientists have unearthed evidence of cataclysmic events in the past and their disastrous consequences. Wars, earthquakes, floods and famines – these are the events that have helped shape our modern world.

In each episode, Alice takes viewers on a journey across Europe and North Africa to discover epic sites and landmarks. These include abandoned cities, long-forgotten battlefields and toppled civilisations that have all been lost to the mists of time. To our ancient ancestors suffering these catastrophic events, it must have seemed they were cursed but science is now exploding those myths and re-writing history.

Curse of the Ancients will air Fridays from 5th April at 9pm on BLAZE.

Curse of Skinwalker Ranch

This fascinating series is set at Skinwalker Ranch, a 500-acre piece of land that is the site of purported paranormal and UFO-related activities, and follows a team of investigators and sceptics who are trying to find some truth in the reports.

Curse of Skinwalker Ranch features the team utilising technologies such as ground-penetrating radar to investigate anomalies like ionising radiation, dire wolves, UFOs, a human bone discovered in an airtight cellar, and cattle mutilations.

Season four of Curse of Skinwalker Ranch will air Mondays from 8th April at 9pm on BLAZE.

BLAZE is available on Freeview 64, Sky HD 164, Sky Glass / Sky Stream 168, Freesat 162 and Virgin TV 174.
